“Art responds to life, and this is truly a renaissance.” Life Magazine article on Joseph Dawley, June 1993 Together with the Dawley family, we have brought together over 40 paintings and prints to honor Joseph Dawley’s career. The collection consists of masterpieces from his art student days at Southern Methodist University, to his success in Dallas as a master of realism depicting the ‘wild west’, to his later works as a great American impressionist as he adapted to his early onset Parkinson’s disease. Peter Colasante has represented Joe Dawley since 1976 and continues to exhibit many of his paintings to this day.
