Huang Xiaopo, graduated from English Language and Literature Department of Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. Xiaopo came to the U.S. in 1988 and attended Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and International Studies, Princeton University. In 2008, Xiaopo started making live-model gesture drawing in open studio at the American Art League. This group of gesture studies is her attempt to combine the Western style of live model gesture drawings with the Chinese medium of Chinese Xuan paper and Chinese ink and water color.
